Greening Our Community: Newton Power Choice

The City of Newton is working on a proposal called Newton Power Choice to purchase electricity on behalf of all Newton residents. Find out about the program at panel discussion that will explain:

• What Newton Power Choice is
• How it could increase the content of renewable electricity produced in New England from solar and wind
• How the program might impact your electric bill
• Options within the contract to opt out, opt down or opt up

The panel will include Ann Berwick, Newton’s Co-director of Sustainability, and Jim Purdy, Eric Olson and Halina Brown who represent Newton Citizens Commission on Energy. This program is part of the Greening Our Community Series and is cosponsored by Green Newton.
