Green Newton Hosts Free Screening of Documentary on Food Waste

Join our community partner, Green Newton for a February 27th screening of the documentary, Just Eat It, a documentary film about food waste and food rescue in our society where as much 50 percent of our food ends up in the trash. The film featuring interviews with TED lecturer, author and activist Tristram Stuart, acclaimed author Jonathan Bloom, Just Eat It looks at our systemic obsession with expiration dates, perfect produce and portion sizes. After the film, there will be a discussion with Laurie “Duck” Caldwell, Executive Director, Boston Area Gleaners. This event will take place in Drucker Auditorium at the Newton Free Library on Monday, February 27 from 7-9pm. More information here.
