Alison Wilson
Farm Educator/Coordinator
Alison, originally from the UK, has lived in Newton for the past 7 years. Prior to moving, Alison spent 5 years teaching Geography to students aged 11 – 18 in a number of UK schools. During this time she was able to encourage students to think about their relationship with their natural environment and explore the broader impact of some of their daily choices. She gained her Degree and Post-Graduate teaching Certificate from Durham University. Since arriving in the US Alison has been at home with her two boys, Daniel and Harry. She has also volunteered her time at a number of non-profit organizations within the Greater Boston area. Alison loves to be outdoors exploring with her little ones and is excited about sharing her passion for the natural world with others and helping Newton Community Farm fulfill its goals.
