Learning Garden

The Learning Garden is a designated area of the farm for hands-on workshops. Here, students can try out new skills and “learn by doing”.

Classes such as Square Foot Gardening, Potato in a Box, and Plots in Pots use the Learning Garden. Get Growing participants planted the west end with peas and beets. The Permaculture Boot Camp class has built a demonstration permaculture bed. In the south side, we grow grains that will be harvested, threshed, ground into flour, and used in bread-baking classes. A sunflower house and pole bean tepee are rising skyward, too.
